The protection of your personal data is important to ASSMONT GmbH, Ossiacher Bundesstraße 3, A-9556 Liebenfels (referred to in the following as “ASSMONT”, “we”, “us”), as well as the entire ASSMONT Group. All data processing therefore takes place in compliance with the applicable regulations governing the protection, lawful handling and confidentiality of personal data, as well as data security. In particular, we observe the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Austrian Data Protection Act (“DSG”), and the Telecommunications Act (“TKG”) in the respective valid version.

In this privacy policy, we provide you with information about the data processing that takes place via our website and explain your rights in this regard according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

  1. Personal data

Personal data is all information that pertains to an identified or identifiable natural person (for example: name, address, date of birth, etc.).

  1. Appropriate processing

We acquire, process and use personal data exclusively with your consent for the purposes agreed with you, or if a further legitimate reason exists. Furthermore, we always do so in compliance with the applicable legal regulations. We only acquire personal data that is required in order to deliver our performance, services and user benefits, or if you have made such data available to us voluntarily.

  1. What data do we collect from visitors and users of our website?

3.1 In case of contact

If you get in touch with us by email, phone or fax, we process the personal data you provide (name, email address, telephone number, fax number, and your inquiry or the documents associated with it) in order to deal with your inquiry and in case of any follow-up questions that may arise in fulfilling (pre) contractual obligations or on the basis of a justified interest.

3.2 Access data

Every visit to our website is automatically logged in so-called server log files by the web server of our provider. The following data is logged: IP address and IP location of the computer on which access takes place, the referrer URL (entry and exit page), web server response code, sub-pages (which are called up via an accessing system on our website), date, time and duration of access, as well as the volume of data transferred, the browser and device type, operating system, and other similar information that serves to avert danger in the event of attacks on our IT systems. This facilitates the operation, security and optimisation of the website (predominantly legitimate interest).

3.3 Cookies

To enhance the appeal of a visit to our website and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on certain pages of our site if you have provided your consent accordingly. These are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies used by us will be deleted again at the end of your browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies (cookies from third party providers) to recognise your browser again when you visit next (persistent cookies). If cookies are set, these are used to collect and process certain user information such as browser data and location data as well as IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a stipulated period of time, which can vary from cookie to cookie. Insofar as personal data is also processed though individual cookies implemented by us, processing takes place in accordance with article 6 section 1 point f GDPR for safeguarding our legitimate interest in the best possible functionality of our website, as well as the customer-friendly and effective realisation of the site visit.

Please note that you can set your browser such that you are informed when cookies are set and you can decide on their individual acceptance, or such that cookies are only permitted in particular cases, or such that they are generally excluded. You can also block or delete cookies if they have already been stored on your computer. Every browser differs in terms of how it administrates cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, where you will find an explanation of how you can change your cookie settings.

3.4 Google Maps

We use the online Google Maps service (API) from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) in order to present interactive (geographical) maps and to visually display geographic information. The use of this service will display our location to you and guide you when travelling to our site. As soon as you access any sub-pages that contain the map from Google Maps, information about your use of the website generated by cookies will be transferred to a Google server and stored there. Information including the following will be gathered as a result of the Google service: information about your device, log data (including your IP address), information about your location, unique application numbers, local storage, cookies and similar technologies. If you are logged into your Google account at the same time, Google may directly assign this website access to your account. If you do not wish this assignment to your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google when using Google Maps, you are also able to completely deactivate the web service from Google Maps by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. If you deactivate this service, you will not be able to use Google Maps and the associated map display on this website.

3.5 Job applications

The data we acquire may be saved and kept on record for up to six months (after creation). This action does not require specific agreement with the applicant.

We will not pass your personal data on to third parties unless this is essential for the intended purposes or mandated by law. In order to better respond to your concerns within the scope of the customer relationship and to further improve our products and services, your personal data will also be passed on to other companies of the ASSMONT Group.

All service providers commissioned by us (in particular although not exclusively in the field of IT and marketing) process your data exclusively on our behalf for the aforementioned purposes.

  1. Storage periods

We only store your personal data so long as it is required for the aforementioned purposes, and whilst this is required in order to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations.

We conscientiously implement technical and organisational security precautions in order to protect your personal data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. We are constantly improving our security measures in line with technical progress.

  1. Rights of the data subject

In accordance with the provisions of articles 15 to 22 GDPR and the conditions regulated therein, you have the right to information regarding your personal data processed by us. Furthermore, you have the right to have any inaccurate or unlawfully processed personal data corrected and deleted, to have data transferred and to have processing restricted.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your data with future effect at any time, whereupon we will not be permitted to continue the processing of any data affected by this revocation of consent.  The revocation of consent will have no effect on the legality of any processing already carried out on the basis of the consent granted prior to revocation. Insofar as we have processed your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest in accordance with article 6 section 1 point f GDPR, you have the right to object to data processing at any time if reasons exist due to your particular circumstances (article 21 GDPR).  If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data infringes the data protection laws or violates your data protection rights in any other way, please feel free to get in touch with us.
