ASSMONT Australia Pty Ltd. is currently seeking a dynamic individual with exceptional selling skills with the ability to work autonomously, to join our growing sales and project management team. As a vital part of our team, you will cultivate the skills to maintain and grow our business throughout Australia, prepare accurate, timely, and competitive tenders resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. You will oversee projects in the field in conjunction with all installation focused associates and subcontractors.

Sales Engineer / Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILTIES

▪ Actively prospecting and establishing new relationships within all customer target markets that have use for our products and services, cultivating trusting relationships while continuing to expand our customer base
▪ Conducting research on competitors and market trends, maintaining and increasing sales of company products
▪ Receive electronic construction tender documents, blueprints, and invitations to review and prepare timely, competitive and profitable tenders
▪ Working independently on project development (planning, management, monitoring)
▪ Defining project goals, including presentation of results
▪ Budget management (financing/ensuring liquidity, logging all staff costs)
▪ Conducting negotiations, managing contacts for customers, and oversight of all construction phases during the project
▪ Ensuring that all of the appropriate system requirements and paperwork is accurate and is responsible for the profitability throughout the life of the project. This includes contracts, change orders, purchase orders, quotes with material and labor pricing on projects, as well as site-related schedules, etc.
▪ Follow up on tenders previously submitted
▪ Genuine commitment to strong WH and S culture and values

JOB REQUIREMENTS
▪ Ability to work autonomously and within a team
▪ Willingness to travel interstate and overseas (including a 3-month training period in Europe)
▪ Strong technical and mathematical ability
▪ Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
▪ Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
▪ Strong negotiation skills
▪ Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office
▪ Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motorized vehicle
▪ A strong knowledge, understanding of Steel Racking and Construction with a strong networking client base is essential

▪ Degree in Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent
▪ 3-5 years of sales or construction Management
▪ Work remotely – based in Sydney, NSW
▪ Monday to Friday work with occasional weekends (full-time)
